We dive regularly in the Baltic Sea, mostly from Kiel Harbour. The Baltic (or Ostsee) is littered with superb wrecks, and is under-dived. There is no tidal shift as such and visibility can often be surprisingly good. As our page develops during the year, you will be able to check out information on some of our favourite sites.

Shore diving in the Baltic Sea can also provide a surprising variety of marine life. Most of these sites tend to be shallow (around 3-5 meters deep) but at a couple of locations depths of up to 15 meters can be reached from the shore. More information on these will be added in 2003.

Regular inland dives include HEMMOOR (Kreidesee) near Cuxhaven, SUPLINGEN and MAGDEBURG - both in the former East Germany.

The 2002 club events included:
Los Gigantes, Tenerife - October see our favourite links page, a regular destination.

Fehmarn Island - June 15/16th, joint weekend with Fallingbostel SAC.

Wreck diving of Sonderberg (Denmark) April 6/7th.

BSAC European Weekend (Kiel Aug 31/Sept 1st). This brought together 10 clubs and over 50 divers from Western Europe.

2003 will see the club moving forward with more diver training following the purchase of new equipment. Details of courses will be posted in the local press and on the Diary page.

Happy diving in 2003.

Our philosophy
The club promotes diver training as far as each member wishes to progress. We re-train regularly and dive all year round, no closed season. But we are also a social group, check our PHOTO page to view our activites and some of our dive sites.
